This is a unique slice of Americana. Jeff Daniels is an astounding actor and Michigan resident. Being a Michigander is one thing, but this film pays tribute (?) to a unique culture of the residents of Michigan's Upper Peninsula: Da Yoopers. (Upper Peninsula = U.P. = Yooper.) You will go with Jeff to deer camp where he will attempt to shoot his first deer and break years of bad luck. Anyone in the great American Midwest knows that "deer camp" is an excuse to drink massive amounts of alcohol and use high powered weapons. While that would likely be enough to have a film, other "stuff" happens that really drives the comedy to new levels. Recommended. And for those viewing from other countries worldwide: Yes, this is America. And now, viewing this, you understand.
Ghostbusters with a higher IQ and a British accent. It's a good watch! . PS... There has NOT been a season 2... so there should not be season 2 episodes. It was cancelled by Amazon. :(
Quite possibly the worst thing that Andy Kaufman has ever done. And Bernadette Peters as well! This is a case where the core idea was good... and then bad decisions by the studio ended up doing EVERTHING wrong. The studio wanted to cash in on the post-Star Wars robot interest, but rather than allowing comedians to be funny, they turned this into a glacially paced robot love story. SO S L O W ! ! ! This is a film that you may end up watching, just to be among the few people on this planet that actually can say that they saw it. Wiki: "Kaufman felt the movie was so bad that he personally apologized for it on Late Night with David Letterman, and as a joke, promised to refund the money of everyone who paid to see it." There are no redeeming values. These are not the droids that you are looking for.
If you are a Sci-Fi aficionado, then Space 1999 is a mandatory watch. But don't expect it to be "good" by 2025 standards. It's a TV show from 1975. But compared to Gerry Anderson's other works ("Thunderbirds", "UFO"), this is some award-winning big-budget stuff! :) (Reminder: Star Wars wasn't until 1977)
Dammit... S05e10 feels like the end of the show. Definitely the end of the season of course, but it seems to wrap up everything far too well so that if they end it now then it's done and closed. No news of a Season Six renewal so far. Hope it does, but if not, it's been a great 5 seasons!
Great alternative universe viewing. Yes, Superman was a character that sold seats in theaters to kids... but it was also American propaganda. This animation just lays out the idea: What if the world spun just a bit more before the rocket that bore superman landed. And that it landed in Russia. What then? Interesting idea of Superman being the hero of the proletariat.
Surprisingly good. I wasn't sure how several seasons of time travel based around changing the past to avoid / eliminate a deadly virus would work out, but yet it does. Not only do we go back in time, but then time "splinters" (to use their term) into different timelines (from time to time). I do appreciate the fact that they preface each scene that has time changes with the date of the scene, as by season #2 you are really trying to keep track of what you know as the prime timeline and the various characters involved.
Samara Weaving is great in a scream-queen type role. Except she is not one that screams but takes action. She is not one that just ends up being a victim. Much like in another great flick that she had done ("Ready or Not" (2019)) she fights back. Yes, this is a horror, but it's also a comedy because of the crazy plot and characters. A real fun watch. Recommend!
Fun movie. Robots fighting for their right to exist. While this trope has been done before, it does become a cool sci-fi action flick with the use of an alternative timeline where robots were first developed by Disney in the 1950's. The feel of many of the robots' design is a lot of the 1950's & 60's feel of what robots of the future should be. (And as a result, look quaint and dated.) CGI work is really outstanding, as suspension of disbelief of the whole spectrum of robots is very good. Recommend!
Disappointing zombie flick. A "B" movie at best. Too much drama, not enough action, poor production. The film was made in Hungary to save money. Which is fine, if the actors and film crew were up to standards, but... well, just not as good as you would hope. And, it sounds like they stole their music from some other Zombie movie... But I just can't put my finer on it. Not recommended.

First, I looked at my favorite deep search torrent finder snowfl com and that only had one listing for a torrent of this film. That was at TPB. I went there, tried to download it (as it said that there were two seeders), and I even added the most recent lengthy list of trackers to that torrent to see if I could find it. Absolutely no luck. Not even a bit of a partial download. However, if you Google it, it looks like some folks have uploaded it to Youtube. While it is not the same as having your own copy, you can get your grunge on.
Agree with @fusspot - This was a nice horror tale in a bite size film. Yes, B&W and silent as would be a film that's 113 years old, but the actor playing both Jekyll and Hyde does a great job in creating differing characters.
